America's favorite octogenarian sidekick Ed McMahon has resorted to rapping to pay off millions in dept. He’s fallen on hard times, I have very little sympathy for him. Sad to say that about an elderly person but it's true.
I grew up around quite a few aged relatives so I have a particularly strong empathy for this demographic. None of them were gullible enough to send their money to his Publisher’s Sweepstakes bullshit contests (that I know of). It’s common knowledge that the pre-Vietnam generation was generally trusting to a fault, so millions of older people were conned and/or enticed into giving some or all of their life savings away to the fake contest. They didn’t have the law to protect them and reclaim the funds once they realized it was a con.
It’s a little heart breaking to see an infirm man behave this way, but I guess karma and debt collectors are a bitch.
