I read that there'd be a huuuuge YSL sale this week and commanded my overspending self to avoid it. Quite a show of fortitude as overspending at designer sales is in my genetic makeup. Guess what took even more will? Walking by the massive line at 8:45 a.m. on my way to work the other day. I developed two mantras to rid myself of the sads for passing on some great pieces- to tie down a wealthy hubby pronto and to congratulate myself on redirecting YSL spending into my Brooklyn brownstone down payment. Like Bigfoot, this exists.
On YSL- their makeup line has been my favorite since the 90's when my French neighbor introduced it to me (she's now a rep at La Mer). It was redesigned last year and it's one of the best lines ever created- the packaging, the colors, the formulas, I could go on. One small complaint- they need more colors for the concealer range- they never have my shade.
